PMC Pastors Conference in Tanzania, 2008

Paul Barrington and pastors from Uganda, Malawi, and Congo at the Pastors' Conference in Tanzania From a report by Paul Barrington, of Australia, a specially invited guest speaker.

Week 1:
Tuesday - September 23 - Sept/28

Paul arrived late on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, and wanted to withdraw some cash in local funds from an ATM machine, but it swallowed up his card. This experience was repeated several times during his stay, and provided some frustration. He had to be brought back to the city later to go to the bank to retrieve his card.

The heat was quite uncomfortable, and necessitated showers as frequently as could be arranged. The outdoor temperature was about 33 Celsius with humidity at about 90%. Indoors, with no air-conditioning or fans, it was at least 40 Celsius.

Wednesday - Sept/24
The next day he met with Pastor Gervase Masanja, the bishop at the host church in Kibaha, for the Pastors' Conference and Crusade. Pastor Gervase was happy to show him all the changes to the church since his visit a year earlier. They now have a computer business centre, and a tailoring shop attached to the church to help give employment. They have increased the height of the walls, and re-roofed the church to keep out the rains.

Two other Guest Speakers from North America:

Michael Shattuck Michael Shattuck

Michael was taken into heaven by the Lord and given specific instructions to deliver to His church on earth. After receiving this calling, Michael has spent more than 30 years preaching, teaching, pastoring, and publishing the message of Sonship to build up the Body of Christ around the world. Through Michael, gifts of healing, raising the dead and other miracles have brought glory to the father.

Yousef Rabo Yousef Rabo

Yousef is Palestinian Arab by birth. He was born again in the same town the savior was born - Bethlehem. God has used Yousef profoundly in prophetic and teaching ministries. Yousef has seen many miracles and healing's through his own hands. He is a minister with an amazing anointing for increase and an intense hunger for souls to come into the Kingdom of God.

Thursday - Sept/25
During the first six days of the Pastors' Conference, two American pastors presented a series of messages on the Sonship of the Believer. The essence of their messages was; "In Jesus Christ you are already a prince in His kingdom. The blood of Jesus is for today. We are in His kingdom today. We are princes and priests and sons in the Kingdom right now."

The Pastors Conference in 2007 had seen 30 pastors come. This year there were 300 pastors present from twelve different African nations. Pastor Gervase Masanja was ecstatic, as it broke all records and exceeded all his expectations.

Pastor Rabson from Malawi, who had also attended a year earlier, gave a great report on how God had blessed his ministry since September 2007. Furthermore, his wife, who had been bedridden with illness for two years, was prayed for at the 2007 conference. Very soon after she had recovered, and was totally healed. She rose up and began a business to support their family and Pastor Rabson's ministry.

Not only that, but Pastor Rabson's ministry had been blessed through $20,000 in aid received from an Australian Aid organization (Aus Aid), so that they were able to build a two story building. The lower floor was used as an orphanage, and the upper story was their home and his ministry office.

praise at the crusade in Kibaha That same afternoon, after the pastors' conference session, an Outreach Crusade was held across a major highway, running past the church. There they conducted a crusade for the public from 5 pm to 7:30 pm, and about 12 people came to the Lord, and prayers for healing were held after the service.

The pastors of the conference, together with all the local pastors of the PMC denomination in Tanzania, returned to the church after that for another session. This time Paul was asked to speak to them about "Being in Christ, trusting Christ, and not trusting men."

Friday - Sept/26
They went to meet Pastor Henry Zaake who was arriving from Uganda, and finally went to bed quite late. Paul and Pastor Henry were in the same hotel and enjoyed some special fellowship the next morning, and prayer times before going to the full day's schedule at the Pastors' Conference and early evening Crusade.

Pastor Henry Zaake was the guest speaker for the crusade meetings, and he preached powerfully, and they saw a number of people come forward to pray for salvation and still more for healing prayers.

Paul Barrington also had several opportunities to preach and share how God had healed him from cancer, and to pray for the healing of others who requested such prayers. Later some of the pastors went to his room, to pray for him and his health. (Cancer has come on him again).

Saturday - Sept/27
Saturday was a special day of God's blessing. Pastor Michael (one of the American pastor/speakers) preached on the living Word of God, which confirmed to Paul the message on sin he had received one night earlier in the week. He also prayed against Paul's recurring cancer.

In the afternoon Pastor Michael preached on healing and revealed that sickness (or an attack to be made sick) cannot touch someone who is dead in Christ Jesus. In the second session he preached, and led the pastors to understand their place in the Kingdom of Heaven.

At that time Paul had a physical sensation of standing in Heaven, before the throne of God, and surrounded by rows and rows of angels in shining silver armour. Waves of powerful love reached and pulsated in him from the throne of God. He sobbed in response. The pastor brought them back to the present, and spoke more on their Sonship. Later in that service Paul had another experience of Heaven.

After that service ended, others came to him for prayer, and he was able to minister to them in powerful prayers, and with visions and prophecies for them. After a break they went across the highway to the crusade at 4:30, with a strong message in Kiswahili for the local people..

Sunday - Sept/28
Early Sunday morning, while praying with Pastor Henry Zaake, Paul had another experience of Heaven where the air was filled with angels all above and around him. During the morning service, he was given time to share about his time in Heaven, Afterwards they prayed for all the pastors present to also see Heaven and the Father.

Pastor Gervas Masanja was happy to report that the conference budget had been exceeded by $1,600 because so many pastors had come.

Continue to account of the second week. . . .
