PMC News - January-February 2019

I. We started the year 2019 with great victory.

We are hoping for the biggest harvest of souls ever for this year, 2019. What is more, we intend to reach many villages in the rural areas, most of which are either, 'least reached' or 'totally unreached groups.' We want to give them the gospel of Christ.

In January we conducted a conference for five days. Apart from church planting methods, missions and missionary work was the other major theme covered.

A total of 130 pastors, evangelists and denominational church elders attended. We identified 36 tribes countrywide which have never been reached with the gospel of grace. Prior to an introductory course of moslem Evangelism, we briefly dealt with the faith tenets of two major religions of Islam and African traditional religion.(ATR). We, in the coast region, live with many Muslim and followers of ATR. Before we preached to them, it was worthwhile to learn what they believe, and their reasons which make them reject the Christian faith. We observed that the majority of people who follow Islam actually believe only in folk Islam. The majority mixed traditional African religions myths and Islam faith, Hence, the need to talk about the Church will become more effective, and attract them to the Christian faith.

January Church Conference 2019

II. After the conference the PMC leadership team met and made strategic objectives and plans for the year 2019 as follows:

1. HOUSE TO HOUSE EVANGELISM

The youth Evangelistic teams to witness from house to house, and participate in the person to person evangelism at bus stops, schools, hospitals, colleges and market place.

2. CHURCH PLANTING

They resolved to plant new churches along the Morogoro/Dar es Salaam Highway. We trust the Lord for a big harvest of souls.

3. UPCOUNRTY REGIONS

We decided to send evangelistic teams to the following upcountry regions; Tanga, Iringa, Njombe, Lindi, Mtwara, Rukwa, Katavi, Songwe, and Kilimanjaro. For the purpose of planting and establishing new Branches this year.

4. PMC FM RADIO STATION

We have been praying for the above-mentioned radio station, through which the church will be able to air the preached sermons and teaching at conferences, seminars and workshops.

The preachings during open air Gospel campaigns. We trust in the power of media to reach a larger population and expecting to read souls turning away from sin to salvation. The impact of radio is wonderful it has a massive conviction mechanism and process cheaper than buying airtime from services providers.

We have witnessed that churches using radio have biological growth that increased membership. They advertise their locations, schedules, and give out prayer requests for intecession for:
- the sick in body
- emotionally sick
- angry, frustrated, depressed, greed, etc.
- deliverance from bondage of any kinds.

They also announce publically over the radio, testimonies of people, whose prayer request was answered. These answers built them up, kept them from falling, and raised their spiritual dimensions to one of depending upon the Lord. This is the general result in the vertical (spiritual) Church growth.

III. CONSTRUCTION VERTICAL OF CLASSROOMS AND ROOMS FOR SOCIAL WELFARE

We continue to appeal to our friends to see the project as needful.

The classroms will be used as appropriate accomodation for the school of Ministry and Bible school students.

The pastors already in ministry without having gone through the Biblical and thelogical training will be grossly advantaged. They will, consequently, attend various coursed in Theology, Biblical studies, Church Leadership, Church Management, and Administration, Pastoral counseling, Church Planting, Discipleship, and basic vacational trade and enterpreneurship, such as:
• Carpenting and Joinary
• Plumbing, Electrical Installation
• Sewing and Embroidery, etc.

The aim of the enterpreneurship and vocational trades training is to make ministries be self-reliant and self–supporting as they serve and/or ministry to the Lord. Additionally, in order to move with time and technology, couses in English language, and computer applications will be introduced for ministers. They need this knowledge so that they can communicate to the outside world. The side of social welfare, the project will prove of great value and assistance to orphans and valunerable children, street children as well as the poor and widows.
